It cannot be denied that when a public servant does what he is expected to do, he is considered an absolute legend. This is simply because you don’t get to see a lot of people like him in the government service. You can’t blame people if they feel so negative when they see people who serve in the government because of all the corruption that have been going on inside.

When people talk about people in government, the word corruption always springs up after all it is one negative news after another. All these unexplained wealth, luxurious living even in the midst of financial disasters really takes the goat of the people whom they should be serving. Unfortunately they enrich their pockets first before they give something back to the people. They live in big houses when the ordinary citizen can even get out of their trailer park homes. Corrupt public officials drive luxury cars when the ordinary Joe can’t even afford a gallon of gasoline. When they get sick, they can afford the best health care but when the normal Jane gets sick, her health insurance can’t even cover for her medical bills.

So when you hear a positive news about government servants who do their job, you tend to be shocked and in disbelief. The good thing is that there still are a few good men in the public service. They are public servants who think that it is their moral obligation to serve the people well and as honestly as they could. These people should be commended and highlighted because there are not a lot of people like them anymore. So when you know a government worker who does a really good job, then pat that person in the back and tell him what an absolute legend he is.
